Squelch · Effective June 22, 2026
Squelch does not collect, store, transmit, sell, or share any of your personal information or the contents of your messages. Everything Squelch does happens entirely on your iPhone.
Squelch is a message-filter app. It uses Apple's official Unknown & Spam message filtering system. When this is enabled, iOS privately passes Squelch the text of messages from unknown senders only — never messages from people in your Contacts — so Squelch can decide whether to route them to your Junk folder. This evaluation happens on-device, in real time, and the message content is never saved off your phone or sent to us or anyone else.
None. Squelch has no servers, no analytics, no tracking, no advertising identifiers, and no third-party SDKs that collect data. We never see your messages, your keywords, your allowed numbers, or your activity.
Your settings — the keywords you target, the numbers you allow, and the list of recently squelched messages shown in the Activity tab — are stored only in a private app container on your device and shared between the app and its message-filter extension. You can clear this data at any time inside the app or by deleting the app.
Squelch offers a subscription and a one-time lifetime purchase, including a 7-day free trial. All payments are processed by Apple through the App Store. Squelch does not receive or store your name, card number, or any payment details. Purchase management is handled in your Apple ID settings.
Squelch is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect any information from anyone.
If this policy ever changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
